Our inclusive curriculum support at Liberty in the Wild Alternative Education Centre is designed to ensure that every child benefits from a diverse range of subjects and enriching experiences, with a focus on addressing Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. We strive to deliver an accessible and engaging learning experience that fosters independent success, cultivates lifelong skills, and provides enriching experiences for the young people to access.
We emphasise the importance of Art, Drama, Science and Sports, alongside the development of core subject knowledge and skills to facilitate development, progress and enhance subject fluency. We believe that our experience-rich curriculum support equips students to transition smoothly to the next stage of their learning, recognising the enduring benefits of continued learning and training on health, happiness, and social mobility.
We meticulously plan the progressive delivery of a wide range of activities to provide academic support, ensure independence, self-confidence and a sense of achievement, particularly for students who may not be working at age-related expectations. At Liberty in the Wild, we nurture these students with a creative Arts, Play and Drama-led activities, fostering social development which naturally enhances their academic abilities and curiosity to learn - enabling potential future success.
We understand that to thrive as an inclusive educational support provider, it needs to be built upon a foundation of a happy and healthy community. We are committed to working collaboratively to address the root causes of underachievement and disadvantage, ensuring that our pursuit of improvement and the support we offer are deeply rooted in our community. Our goal is to be an inclusive alternative education centre that cares for all children, raises standards, and transforms lives.

Liberty in the Wild believes that sustainability is an essential and integral part of 21st-century education. We strive to act in an ethical, transparent, and responsible manner, providing a local and trust-wide experience that highlights sustainability. In turn this will engage our young people to be consistent and respond to our shared future practices effectively.
Covid-19 Recovery Adaptation
The Covid-19 pandemic has brought about unprecedented disruption and change in our children’s education and support services. At Liberty in the Wild as an Alternative Education Centre, we are committed to implementing Covid-secure practices to support the national approach to managing education support services during the pandemic. We continuously review our practices and provision to ensure that our young people receive a quality educational support despite the challenges posed by the pandemic. We have made short- and long-term adjustments to our support architecture, subject delivery, and interventions to ensure equitable access and meet our young peoples’ evolving needs. We provide resources that support learning, guided pathways information, transition support, and catch-up provisions as necessary to support our young peoples’ learning journey.
